Bel Air Community

Bel Air Estates is a small community immediately west of Beverly Hills.  In this area you can find some of the biggest people in entertainment and polictics.  You will even find many movie and music stars have have planted themselves in quality Bel Air Real Estate.

With a population of just over 21,000, you'll find that this lovely neighborhood has very low crime and high school rankings.

Bel Air Culture

Chic, prestigious and glamorous are just a few words which describe the grandeur and luxurious lifestyle which characterizes Bel Air. Located just west of Beverly Hills, Bel Air has long been the home to some of the most influential and popular individuals in entertainment and politics. Homes are situated in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, just above Sunset Boulevard, and tend to multi-acres estates, mansions and executive homes with generous pools, manicured gardens, and even spectacular views. However, as the homes move towards Mulholland Drive, affordable custom-built homes for first time buyers are available.

Bel Air Education

Bel Air is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District in Local District 3.  Resident children in public schools typically attend Warner Elementary, Ralph Waldo Emerson Middle School, and University High School. Private schooling in the area includes such schools as Harvard-Westlake School, Marymount High School, and Stephen S. Wise Temple Schools.

Higher education can be found literally just across the street at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).

Residents find they are within close proximity to every amenity Los Angeles has to offer, from excellent schools and community services, to first-class shopping, dining and entertainment, as well as an abundance of recreational activities. Children attend schools in the Los Angeles School District whose rankings are often between the 70^th and 90^th percentiles (within the state of California). Two golf courses and large parks nearby offer facilities for popular sports. Within very close proximity is UCLA and the University of Judaism, and the new J. Paul Getty museum is located only a short distance across the freeway to the west. Movie studios and entertainment complexes are located on both sides of the hills, and downtown Los Angeles is only about 14 miles away.

Bel Air Recreation

With Bel Air being a community and not a town...most of the recreational activities happen in nearby Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. Unless of course you consider Bel Air itself to be a tourist attraction. This community's name is known around the world alongside Beverly Hills and the Hollywood sign!

The premier boutique hotel serving the area is the infamous Bel Air Hotel.  Twelve luxurious acres are covered not only by the hotel but surrounded with gardens, courtyards and fountains.

Golf lovers rejoice! Bel Air has access to some of the most exclusive and beautiful country clubs and golf courses. First to come to mind is of course the fabulous Bel Air Country Club. It doesn't end there though; immediately nearby is the Los Angeles Country Club, and another short trip takes you to and Rancho Park Golf Club and Hillcrest Country Club. If golf is not your passion there are many other sports to participate in.

Bel Air Transportation

Being only 14 miles from downtown Los Angeles, you'll find that the 405 freeway will get you just about anywhere you need to go. With much of the surrounding business being from the entertainment industry, your commute will be short.
